THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SHRIMP IN THE WORLD

Today I actually walked a distance further than the one to my fridge.

"What is this?!" you say, falling off your seat?

Well this oh young reader is called exercising in the outdoors. An unthinkable idea of course, but motivation was present as I knew that at the end of the tiresome journey I would get to have a cup of tea and a chat with a lovely friend of mine. And I did.

Yes, I am still finding cat hair on my clothes.

And no, I did not walk back - I got the bus, who do you think I am? Mo Farah?

On another note, I've recently signed up for Pinterest to create a moodboard for a painting I've been commissioned to do for the living room. The only words I've been given to create the piece with are birds, abstract and peacock. A challenge I am willing to accept.

So far, I've drawn a crappy cartoon version of a peacock and collected some photographs. I was cracking through the latter when all of a sudden I discovered the existence of THIS:

THE PEACOCK MANTIS SHRIMP!

This is by far the most naturally rainbow-coloured animal I have ever seen (spray-painted poodles do not count) and IT IS AWESOME!!! Its eyes remind me of cricket balls...stained with wine. A common occurrence.

An idea I've just been hinted to carry forward by my mother is to create a large tree and have birds peeking out of it. But weird birds that you don't find in trees - screw blackbirds and robins, I'm talking PENGUINS and OSTRICHES. EMUS and SWANS. BUDGIES and PARR- okay you get the idea. Excitement is building, muahahahhaha. Therefore, I will collect pictures of trees and all these birds to inspire me.

Hope you're all having funzies. Yes I did just use that word. No I won't apologise.
